One sale, five platforms.
See what each one actually takes.

Type one sale and the receipt prices it on eBay, Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, and Whatnot at the same time, each at its own current rates. The cheapest platform changes with the price, which is the whole point of checking before you list.

Real rates. Each platform's own published fee schedule, checked October 21, 2026, with the source pages linked below.
Honest bases. eBay charges on the total including shipping and tax. Poshmark charges on the item price. The math follows each platform's own rule, not one flat guess.
One surprise, up front. Depop charges US sellers no selling fee at all right now. Processing only. It wins most comparisons on this page.

The Reseller Profit Tracker prices your whole inventory: an item log with cost, storage spot, and days held, this same five-platform price check before you list, a bulk-lot cost splitter, mileage and expenses, and a Schedule C summary for tax time. Its fee table is dated and sourced, and it lives in one Settings page you can update when a platform changes a rate. Excel and Google Sheets editions, $12.99 at launch. Reseller fees, answered plainly

Which platform takes the lowest fees from resellers?

At current US rates it depends on the price. Depop charges US sellers no selling fee, only payment processing of 3.3 percent plus $0.45, so it is cheapest on most sales. On a $46.00 sale, a $40.00 item plus $6.00 shipping, Depop takes $1.97, Mercari takes $4.60, Whatnot takes $4.83, eBay takes $6.66 in most categories, and Poshmark takes $8.00. Fees checked October 21, 2026. Cheapest is not the whole decision, since the platforms have different buyers, but it is the part you can know before you list.

What does each platform charge on a $46 sale?

eBay takes $6.66 (13.6 percent of the $46.00 total plus a $0.40 per order fee) and you keep $39.34. Poshmark takes $8.00 (20 percent of the $40.00 item price) and you keep $38.00. Mercari takes $4.60 (10 percent of item price plus shipping) and you keep $41.40. Depop takes $1.97 (no selling fee; processing of 3.3 percent plus $0.45) and you keep $44.03. Whatnot takes $4.83 (8 percent commission on the item price plus processing of 2.9 percent plus $0.30) and you keep $41.17. Run your own numbers at the top of this page.

Does Depop really charge no selling fee?

Yes, for sellers based in the US, UK, and Australia. Depop's own help center says no Depop selling fees are charged to sellers in those countries. US sellers pay Depop Payments processing instead: 3.3 percent plus $0.45 on the item price plus shipping and tax. The optional Boosted Listings fee is 12 percent, and it only applies if you choose to boost a listing.

Why is eBay's fee different by category?

Because eBay prices the final value fee by category. Most categories pay 13.6 percent of the total amount of the sale. Books, movies, and music pay 15.3 percent, trading cards pay 13.25 percent, guitars pay 6.7 percent, and sneakers sold for $150 or more pay 8 percent with no per order fee. The category picker on the receipt above runs the same table, and the eBay fee calculator shows each category's full schedule.
